Aamir Khan’s Satyamev Jayate lets down Bihar villagers

The second season of Aamir Khan's much publicised show 'Satyamev Jayate' opened to rave reviews. However, villagers of a remote village in Bihar are a disappointed lot.

According to a Hindustan Times report, villagers of Gehlaur village in Muhra block were very excited to watch the first episode of the show. They were expecting the season to open with Bihar's 'mountain man' Dashrath Manjhi's story. The villagers had forgone their first meal of the day so that they could gather at the agriculture department hall in time to watch the much-hyped episode that was based on the 'Mountain man' and his surroundings. However, they were shocked when they saw that the episode was about rape victims across India. Further to the reports, the villagers were told that the first episode of the season will be of Dashrath Manjhi. As a result a technical team from Star TV had come with satellite TV paraphernalia so that the show could be telecast on Sunday. Despite all the efforts, the villagers felt let down by Aamir Khan as their expectations were not met.
