Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan is likely to play a crucial role this Lok Sabha election which is due by May 2014. Shocked? Read on to get the complete information. In an exclusive interview to Oneindia, Aamir Khan said that he has received an unofficial offer from the Election Commission of India to promote the election. The actor seems to have been asked to encourage the people of the country, especially the youth of the country to cast their votes this time. The star, whose reality TV show Satyamev Jayate Part 2 is all set be launched on March 2, however, did not divulge any details about the offer from the election commission. The actor also clarified that the offer did not come from any particular political party and he will not promote any political party either. Aamir Khan received an unofficial offer from the Election Commission of India During an interview in Mumbai, Aamir Khan also informed that his upcoming show will feature an episode dedicating to election in India and his team will raise several issues related to the poll. Satyamev Jayate team is coming up with a new concept of "vote" following which aam-aadmi (common man) can raise their issues giving a call to the team. An issue, which will get the highest vote, will be taken up to the state and central government. Aamir and his team will pursue the governments to get a solution for each issues society has been facing, asserted the actor. However, speaking about his decision regarding the offer from the election commission, Aamir claimed that this would be too early to reveal everything. So, can we expect that Aamir Khan, the superstar of Hindi cine world, would play an important role in the upcoming general election. He said, "Mujhe ek request aai hai.. pata nai mujhe is bare me baat krni chahiye ya nahi becoz its unofficial (Not sure whether to discuss it or not, I got an offer)." Giving more information regarding the offer, the actor added, "I got this request from election commission to be a part of their campaign. This is unofficial because it was meant to check whether I am free or not." "...I said I am free lets see now. In this campaign we will encourage people youngsters to vote. Hopefully I will be d part of this campaign," he added.
